Oil : A major energy resource...

                        OIL CRISIS

We live in a world which is totally dependent on oil. From morning to bed, we use things that are directly or indirectly derived from oil. In fact Rockfellar said that the secret to success is to get up early, work late and strike oil. In the history we can get a long list saying about the wars caused by oil.
There exists clashes and ups and downs in the market of oil , perhaps ever since it was discovered. Countries with high crude oil as resource have always been the target of developed countries or countries with high oil demand. There exists an unavoidable relationship between oil and terrorism.
terrorist are ready to throw their explosive spanners to the machinery of global trade. targeting energy infrastructure will be far more efficacious and less opprobrious than the indiscriminate slaughter of the civilians.

If continued with such situations,we are sure to loose our oil resources soon. A famous Saudi saying is that , ‘My father rode a camel; I drive a car, my son flies a jet; his son will ride a camel.’ Exactly… we are sure to end up with the oil and thus the next generation will be left with the the machines run with manual power.
At present the heavily industrialized United States, which only 5% of the world’s population , is using more than 40 % of the world’s energy output. That data is really awe full  All the countries are still heading to become developed. Being developed surely means to increase oil consumption , as talking practically.
Oil has direct and indirect impact on the environment as:
1.      On water in the form of oil spills.
2.      Air pollution from vehicle exhaust.
3.      Acid rain, global warming, ozone layer depletion.
4.      Wildlife damage.
5.      Trash: disposing cars.
6.      Toxic Waste.
7.      Toxic Trade: Greenpeace has documented hundreds of cases where developed countries have traded or transferred toxic waste problems to developing countries.
8.      Pesticides.
9.      Soil depletion and damage.

Best way to reduce such impacts is:

1.        to avoid oil usage.
2.        Reduce our selfish needs.
3.        Avoid extreme luxurious life.
4.       Reduce globalization.
5.       Increase production so less need of transportation.

Conclusion is just learn to live as how our forefathers used to live with less use of natural resources at least as long as we find a sustainable and practically usable resource.
